This is 8-hour class designed to give you the basic knowledge and tools required in understanding the roasting process and prepare you for the Roasting Intermediate and Professional courses.
Attendees receive detailed instruction on terminology and a general overview of a roasting operation, including equipment usage, safety and maintenance. Upon completion, graduates will have a base knowledge of coffee roasting techniques and operational requirements that are immediately relevant and ready to enhance the workforce in any roasting operation with a focus on high-level, high-quality execution to the standards and best practices of the Specialty Coffee Association.
Snacks and coffee are provided, parking and accommodation are not included.

Class hours are 9:00am - 6:00pm
There is day parking available on the Island with 3 hours free.
